Coronation Street The Tour has been extended!
Today it has been announced that the Coronation Street Tour will remain open into 2015 following plans for it to initially closed in early October 2014. The tour first opened its doors in April and since then has welcomed over 300,000 visitors into the Rovers Return.
The tour allows a unique opportunity to take a behind the scenes tour of the world famous set. The studio tours share stories, facts and insights from across it’s fifty year history. The filming of Coronation Street has now moved to MediaCityUK, after the final scenes were shot at Quay Street in December 2013.
The tour at the former Granada Studios is being allowed to remain open after being given permission to continue operating beyond this year. The tour itself will temporarily close between Monday 17th – Friday 21st November to undergo a ‘winter’ makeover. It’s rumoured the street will be transformed with a stunning Christmas Tree, fake snow, Christmas Carollers and other festive treats.
