No beach equals no holiday booking
A recent poll by sunshine.co.uk has found that if the featured hotel is not located near to a beach then British holidaymakers will not book.
The study has shown that almost two thirds of British holidaymakers would not consider a break to a destination if it didn't involve being close to a beach. Approximately 78% would also not go on a break to a destination that didn't guarantee sunshine or rising temperatures.
Almost 2000 people aged 18 and over took part in the survey who had been on a holiday within the last two years. One of the questions asked in the survey was: Would you go on holiday to a destination that wasn't near a beach? Out of those people who responded, 64% said that they wouldn't because it would not feel like a holiday if they were not located close to a beach. Out of the 64%, around 27% of interviewees said that their children enjoyed playing on the beach therefore they would not consider anywhere else.
The recent poll has also revealed that 78% of those who took part said that they would avoid a destination if it did not guarantee warm temperatures and sunshine when they wish to travel. At least 57% said that the main reason for booking a holiday was to escape from the awful weather at home for some sunshine and to top up the tan!
