Time to consider the Bucket List
Recent research by tour operator, Leger Holidays, has shown that Brits start thinking about what to feature on their Bucket List when they reach 39 years of age.
The average person's Bucket List will feature at least 20 items with travel being one of the most popular things to do. More than 78% of those interviewed have said that there are key destinations around the world that they would like to visit before they die. Travelling to these key destinations were far more important than achieving financial success (22%) or realising their career aspirations (28%).
At least 33% of those who took part in the research said that they would like to experience new cultures. Seeing the seven wonders of the world was a popular choice for at least 31%. Completing an iconic road trip such as Route 66 featured highly on the Bucket List for 28%. Exploring and experiencing natural phenomena such as volcanoes or storm-chasing attracted at least 24% whilst 23% were looking for destinations where they could view wildlife up close in their natural habitat.
Although the key item on the average Bucket List was travel-related, some have listed owning a Porsche, completing a bungee jump or dating someone who is half their age were also popular inclusions. What features on your Bucket List, we'd love to know?
