Rhod Gilbert joins Edwards Coaches
Causing a bit of a stir at the Llantwit Fardre Depot, the newest recruit to Edwards Coaches, comedian Rhod Gilbert, joined the team as a Tour Guide for his Work Experience TV series.
The popular TV series has Rhod Gilbert undertaking a variety of roles during his work experience and in June 2013, he became a Tour Guide for Edwards Coaches. His role was to guide a group of 30 passengers who were on an Edwards Coaches holiday to Antwerp and Bruges on board their award-winning Starliner.
Rhod Gilbert wore the standard issue Edwards Coaches uniform and was asked to guide the group through a variety of visits to historical sights, brewery sampling, chocolate tasting, tours of a museum and restaurant meals.
Huw Davies who is in charge of groups at Edwards Coaches, said that his Work Experience colleague "encountered a few hiccups along the way due to his lack of organisation and time-keeping but overall it was a great success and the passengers warmed to him through his personality and wicked sense of humour".
