The wizarding world of Harry Potter improves for 2014
Some major changes will be taking place at the wizarding world of Harry Potter in America as the Universal Orlando Resort and Warner Bros. Entertainment come together to expand the current Hogwarts attraction.
These expansions will bring to life some of the experiences and places found in and around London throughout the popular Harry Potter books and films. The new wizarding world of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley will be built across both theme parks in Florida by next year.
'Diagon Alley' and 'London' will be located within the complex of Universal Studios which is located next to the existing 'Hogwarts' and 'Hogsmeade' in Universal's Islands of Adventures. Those who visit the parks next year will be able to travel between London and 'Hogsmeade' aboard the 'Hogwarts Express'. There will be a range of facilities for visitors to explore including shops, a restaurants and a marquee based upon 'Gringotts Bank'.
Working alongside the production design team at Warner Bros. who created the Harry Potter films, they aim to create an amazing two-park experience into one magical journey.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter-Hogsmeade opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure in June 2010 and is based upon the best-selling books by J.K Rowling and the blockbuster Warner Bros. movies. Visitors can already tour Hogwarts Castle, shop in Hogsmeade and dine at the Three Broomsticks.
