Longleat, located in Wiltshire, is home to a magnificent stately home and the UK's original safari park. There is plenty to see and do for the whole family on a Longleat coach trip.

Explore Longleat Safari Park
A highlight of any visit is the Longleat Safari Park, the first drive-through safari outside Africa. Some coach tours drive through the safari, otherwise for a small fee there is a Safari Bus. On the safari you are likely to see:
• Lions, tigers, and cheetahs roaming freely
• Giraffes, zebras, and rhinos grazing across open plains
• Mischievous monkeys known for climbing onto vehicles (a great photo moment!)
• Gentle deer, flamingos, and antelopes in beautiful natural settings
Some tours include stops at Longleat’s Walking Safari, where you can meet meerkats, giant otters, and red pandas, or you can take the Jungle Cruise to spot sea lions and gorillas on their own island.

Step Inside Historic Longleat House
Built in the 16th century, Longleat House is one of Britain’s finest examples of Elizabethan architecture. Inside, you can explore:
• Lavish rooms filled with paintings, tapestries, and antique furniture
• Fascinating stories from the Thynn family, the Marquesses of Bath
• Beautiful gardens and parkland landscaped by Capability Brown
Most coach tours allow free time to wander the formal gardens, visit the gift shop or enjoy a traditional cream tea in one of Longleat’s cafés.

Things to Do During Your Visit
A coach trip to Longleat offers so much more than a day out — it’s a complete experience for all ages.
In addition to the Safari Park and House, you can enjoy:
• Adventure Castle – an enormous outdoor play area for kids
• The Hedge Maze – one of the largest in the UK
• Koala Creek – home to Australia’s cuddly icons
• The Jungle Kingdom – where you can meet monkeys and exotic birds up close
• Cafés and picnic areas with locally sourced food and drink

The Longleat Festival of Light
If you’re planning a winter visit, don’t miss the Longleat Festival of Light — one of the UK’s most spectacular Christmas events, which runs from November to early January. During this time Longleat is turned into a glittering wonderland of lanterns, light trails, and festive displays. Here you can expect to see:
• Hundreds of giant illuminated sculptures
• A festive Santa Train and singing Christmas tree
• Seasonal food, drinks, and shopping

Whether you’re visiting for the Longleat Festival of Light, exploring the Elizabethan Longleat House, or meeting lions, tigers, and giraffes on safari, there’s something for everyone on a Longleat coach trip.
