Half a Sixpence is one of the newest shows in London’s West End, the show is a musical adaptation of HG Well’s semi-autobiographical novel Kipps: The Story of a Simple Soul. The musical tells the tale of Arthur Kipps, an orphan who is an over-worked drapers assistant who unexpectedly inherits a fortune sending him into high society.

Arthur’s childhood companion Ann watches with dismay as Arthur is made over by classy and beautiful Helen. Both young women love Arthur, but who should he listen to? With the help of his friends, Arthur realises you need to make the right choices to live the right live.

The production is the work of Julian Fellowes, George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The music includes songs from the original production including ‘Flash Bang Wallop’, ‘Money to Burn’ and ‘Half a Sixpence’.

London theatre breaks to see Half a Sixpence start from only £154.50 per person and each package includes: return coach travel, overnight accommodation in a quality hotel, hotel-to-venue transfers, free time in London plus Half a Sixpence tickets with the option to upgrade to better seats.
