What is Kynren?
Kynren is a spellbinding live-action show which takes audiences on a journey through 2,000 years of British history. This outdoor spectacle is set against the dramatic backdrop of Auckland Castle in County Durham, and features a cast and crew of over 1,000 volunteers, who bring to life defining moments from Roman invasions to the Industrial Revolution, Viking raids to World War II.
The enormous scale of Kynren is truly unique as it’s performed on a 7.5 acre open air stage (which is the size of five football pitches!) This award winning live spectacular features stunning choreography, pyrotechnics, special effects, amazing stunts, original music and much more.

What do Kynren coach tours include?
All tours include Kynren tickets and return coach travel. Some Kynren packages include hotel accommodation, breakfast, hotel-to-venue transfers plus a ticket to the event.

What is the seating like at Kynren?
Seats are located in an 8,00-seater tribune. They are plastic, stadium style raked seats, so they all offer unrestricted views of the panoramic stage
What should you wear for Kynren?
As Kynren is an outdoor event we recommend dressing according to the weather. The weather is always cooler after sunset so you may want to wear extra layers and bring a blanket. A rain coat or poncho is always advisable in the UK and finally make sure you wear comfortable footwear for walking to and from the venue.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
No outside food or drink is allowed within the venue, however, if you bring an empty drink bottle there are water refil stations available onsite. You cannot bring aluminium bottles or flasks.
