Royal AscotIt’s scary how quickly Christmas comes around each year and with only 38 days to go until the big day we thought we’d suggest some ideas for what to get the woman in your life. Forget the old clichés of perfume, jewellery and clothes – how about a trip somewhere far more exciting.

Each year the famous ‘Ladies Day’ occurs on the Thursday with a great selection of hats and fascinators worn by the crowds. With the Royal Procession kicking off proceedings at 2pm, you are bound to have a great day out. Those who upgrade their tickets to the Grandstand can also access the parade ring and after race party.

Chelsea Flower ShowChelsea Flower Show

There will be plenty of experts on hand to provide help and advice on those garden worries back home.

Downton Abbey

With the adventures of the Crawley family almost finished (Except from the Christmas special), a visit to Downton Abbey (formerly known as Highclere Castle) may be just what the Doctor ordered for those suffering withdrawals. Our best-selling two day break visits the wonderful University city of Oxford.
