2011 UK Coach Awards – Best Industry Support Solution - WINNER

The UK Coach Awards highlight innovation, hard work and great customer service within the coach tourism industry. Individuals, companies and other organisations across the UK coach and tourism industry are recognised and rewarded for their excellence and best practice.

Each applicant for this category had to meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the award:

  • Describe the product/service that you supply to the coach industry
  • Describe how your product/service benefits coach tour operators
  • Describe how your product/service improves the efficiency and/or reduces environmental impact of the coach industry
  • Describe your policy on customer relations and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Describe your approach to marketing to the coach industry

2011 Travolution Awards - Best Use of Social Media - FINALIST

Travolution Awards

These unique awards are open to any company, brand or individual who excel in their fields of online travel distribution, digital marketing and technology within the UK travel market. All entries are judged by a panel of business and industry experts. There are a number of categories for companies to nominate themselves for and there is no restriction as to the number of awards they enter for. Individual awards are given out on the night to outstanding entrepreneurs and people who are 'rising stars' within their field.

In 2011 Door2Tour was proud to be shortlisted for a third Travolution award against the likes of Cunard and Virgin Atlantic for Best Use of Social Media, given to a digital marketing agency or travel organisation that has excelled in successfully using social media channels.  Each applicant had to meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the award:

  • Originality of engagement techniques
  • Integration of work into overall marketing campaign
  • Innovative use of channels to enhance overall message
  • Evidence of success of the service/product within the marketTravelution 2010

2010  Travolution Awards - Best Tickets/Attractions/Excursions Website – FINALIST

Marking a second shortlist at the Travolution Awards alongside companies like Viator and isango!, this award was given out to the Tickets/Attractions/Excursions website that has had the greatest impact in its market. The award is based upon improved design features, functionality, enhanced product, new technology or the introduction of innovative tools that enable an increase in traffic ultimately leading to more bookings. Each applicant had to meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the award:

  • Originality of design and features
  • Level of innovation measured against the wider community
  • Evidence of success of the website within the market
  • Overall user experience

2007 Travolution Awards - Best Use of Technology - FINALIST

This was the year when we made our first shortlist entry at the Travolution Awards alongside companies such as Directline Holidays, Dolphin Dynamics and Touch Clarity. This award was given to the company who represented the Best Use of Technology and had to meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the award:

• Originality
• Features and services
• Evidence of success
• Usability
• Innovation

3 September 2007 - The Times - Website of the Week: featured in The Times' Website of the Week  in 2007, with the website we had for launch in 2006. This is what they said about us:

"A flashy website selling coach trips. We love the intuitive navigation, clean design, extensive information on each trip and on the destinations featured, rich content and live availability." However, they were less enamoured by the pre-booking registration form!
