Ullapool is a charming seaside town and fishing port on the banks of Lochbroom in the magnificent Highlands of Scotland. Home to majestic trademark Highland scenery, the town is known for its mild weather that has even been known to accommodate the odd palm tree and is popular with those looking to springboard to the Isles of Skye and Lewis on their holiday of Scotland.
Since Ullapool is remote, the main attraction for visitors on a coach tour is the scenic splendour. Walking isn't the only way of getting around, however: at various times of the year boat trips run to the Summer Islands, Isle Martin and Handa Island where there's a chance to spot golden eagles, puffins and dolphins, and cycles and smaller boats are also for hire. If that doesn't excite, deer stalking, fishing, exploring way marked walking trails and live entertainment are also on the activity menu.
- The exceptionally picturesque Ullapool Golf Course welcomes beginners and experienced golfers alike and with only nine-holes, it shouldn't take all day to complete!
