Local departure and an afternoon crossing to Calais. Continue to your overnight stop in Northern Germany on a bed and breakfast basis. - Rüdesheim & Markt Taschendorf - 2
We enjoy a scenic drive further into
Germany. You will stop at the famous
Lorelei Rock and enjoy lunch (additional
cost) in the picturesque town of Rüdesheim.
Continue to Bavaria in southern Germany,
arriving in the evening at the family-run
Hotel Landgasthof Wellmann in Markt
Taschendorf for seven nights on a half
board basis. - Bamberg & Coburg - 3
Join our optional full day excursion to the delightful medieval town of Bamberg, home to the quaint cluster of fishermen’s houses of Little Venice, and Coburg, the birthplace of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert. We also visit the impressive 16th century castle of Veste Coburg, one of the largest
castles in Germany. - Rothenburg - 4
Included three-quarter day excursion to the historic town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Enjoy a walking tour in the company of a local guide. You will find an excellent range of shops, bars and restaurants waiting to be discovered as you explore the narrow streets and wide squares. - Markt Taschendorf - 5
A day of leisure in the lovely village of Markt Taschendorf. - Nuremberg - 6
This three-quarter day included excursion takes you to Nuremberg, Bavaria’s second largest city with its lovely old town and half-timbered houses dominated by the enormous Imperial Castle. We include a comprehensive bus and walking tour of Nuremberg with a local guide visiting the old town, the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, as well as the Palace of Justice and the romantic villages on the outskirts of the city. The afternoon is free to explore the town at leisure. - Main cruise & Würzburg - 7
Relax in your resort or join our optional excursion which starts with a relaxing cruise on the River Main. Marvel at the passing vineyards, castles and monasteries, before heading to the town of Würzburg. Spend the afternoon at leisure and discover the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site - the Residence Palace. Or why not cross the Old Main Bridge for a visit to the mighty Fortress Marienberg, which overlooks the whole town area as well as the surrounding hills. - Ebermannstadt & Dinkelsbühl - 8
We start the day with an optional train journey aboard the Fränkische Schweiz Steam Train which takes us from Ebermannstadt to Behringersmühle
and back. There will be free time in Ebermannstadt to discover the town’s
charming centre, before we head on to Dinkelsbühl. The afternoon willl be at leisure for you to explore this medieval town. - Northern Germany - 9
Depart after breakfast for your journey to Northern Germany for a final overnight stop including breakfast. - Northern Germany/UK - 10
Continue to Calais for a late afternoon crossing to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening.
