Deemed an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds are picture book England, a quintessential cluster of time defying, honey stone villages and towns with endearing names like Adlestrop and Minchinhampton. Boasting ivy-clad cottages, some of the country's most unspoilt scenery and cosy pubs, it's little surprise that Cotswolds holidays by coach are well-liked. Despite being heavily visited by tourists, the area's charm never quite fades.
Coach holidays to the Cotswolds
Weekend breaks and holidays here could mean embarking on enjoyable scenic walks alongside sipping tea in teashops or capturing thatched roofs on camera. And that's not all coach tours to the Cotswolds have to offer: the area is also home to magnificent Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, with its Capability Brown-designed gardens and formidable art collection. The town of Cheltenham is also worth an excursion, with its regency town houses, promenades, horse racing connections and floral displays, as is Cirencester, the second largest town of Roman Britain.
- Gloucester is another great place to visit on a Cotswold break, with its array of shops, attractions and Cathedral.
