If you can see towering mountains that point to the Heavens, crystal clear lakes and humongous glaciers then there’s no doubt you are on coach holidays in The Canadian Rockies! There's possibly nowhere else on earth where you can find such a mesmerising mass of canyons, peaks, lakes, waterfalls and limestone caves all ready & waiting to be explored.
There are plenty of hiking opportunities on coach tours to The Rockies as it is home to not one but FIVE National Parks - four of which entwine with one another - and they are: Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho. These four parks are now part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the unique mountain landscapes found there.
The highest peak to be found in The Rockies is Mount Robson closely followed by Mount Columbia. The Snow Dome is quite impressive too as the water that falls onto this mountain then flows into the Pacific, Arctic and Atlantic Oceans via the Hudson River. Contrary to popular misbelief, the Canadian Rockies are not the highest mountain ranges in Canada both the Saint Elias and the Coast Mountains have much higher summits than this.
