Mention Pisa and it's impossible for the famous Leaning Tower not to spring to mind. There is more to this grand city than Italy's undisputed symbol, however. Situated in Campo dei Miracoli, the medieval bell tower is part of Pisa's architectural trio harking back to Pisa's former glory, alongside the equally impressive Duomo (cathedral) and Baptistery.
No touring holiday to the city would be complete without making the dizzying climb to the top of the leaning tower of Pisa. After deviating off the perpendicular a little too enthusiastically in recent years, the tower's lean has now been halted and an ascent offers an alternate view of the city. The neighbouring cathedral is also well worth a visit on your coach tour as one of the most spectacular cathedrals in Tuscany and won’t fail to leave visitors impressed by its grandeur and detail.
