The project called ‘Growing Tourism Locally’ will be funded by a successful bid to the Regional Growth Fund (RFG) and the main aim of the campaign is to not only persuade Brits to take more UK short breaks but to also increase the number of job opportunities available in the Tourism Sector.
The reasons behind this campaign is from research carried out by a survey of ‘UK Cities’ from Travelodge that more UK children have visited Paris on European coach tours compared to Edinburgh or Cardiff. The survey has shown that approx. 44% of British kids have visited London with 40% having been to Paris while less than 20% have visited either Edinburgh and Cardiff – a situation that VisitEngland would like to reverse.
For those Brits looking to stay at home next year, then UK coach holidays could be perfect for you. The UK has a range of seaside resorts such as Blackpool and the Isle of Wight that are ideal for Brits looking for a traditional coach holidays. There’s also an abundance of city breaks many places of interest. Check out the full range of UK coach holidays available on Door2Tour.com or give our team a call on 0845 956 9686 to find out more.
