A survey recently carried out by VisitEngland has found that 13% (1.2 million) UK trips have been taken by British residents during the first 4 months of 2009 compared to the same time in 2008. Overall, trips including those for business & for visiting friends & family have remained the same at 1.2 million.
This just goes to show how many of us are considering holidays at home for the summer during this tough economic climate. It’s not certain whether this trend will continue throughout the summer months but these early indications definitely show that more & more people are rediscovering holidays in
