Foreign visitors who saw a show during their holiday are more likely to recommend the UK to friends than those who didn’t – according to a recent report from VisitBritain. The findings show that a tenth of the 30m travellers who came to the UK in 2009 went to see a show as it enhanced their holiday experience.
London West End Shows were not the only attraction to the 2.2m foreign visitors who chose to take UK holidays – regional theatre productions were also a big pulling figure. In 2009, Scotland’s cities attracted 120,000; the south west attracted 106,000; the south east attracted 235,000 and the east of England drew in a massive 133,000 visitors.
Whether you’re looking for feel-good musicals like Legally Blonde, Billy Elliot or Priscilla, a Shakespearian tragedy, a grand opera or a night at the ballet – London theatre breaks have it all on UK coach holidays and with competitive exchange rates, these coach breaks are perfect for overseas visitors.
