Teletext Holidays has recently carried out a survey of more than 2,000 children aged between 5 & 15 to discover their favourite holiday destination. The survey has shown that Florida’s Walt Disney World is clearly the favourite with 22.65% of the vote.
Spain was the second favourite with 8.3% and the rest of the USA (minus Walt Disney World) was third with 6% of the vote. Despite the success of overseas destinations, regions of the UK were also popular with the younger generation. Wales came third overall in the chart of dream holiday destinations with 6.10% followed by Cornwall with 5.9% and Devon at 4.05%. The majority of the children interviewed (75.8%) said they would prefer to go abroad for their holidays whereas 24.2% would prefer to stay in the UK.
