Out of the 3000 people who completed the survey, Teletext Holidays found that Australia is the most popular destination for Gap Year students as well as those taking retirement holidays. USA touring holidays are popular among teenagers and those families with young children stating Florida to be their favourite holiday destination in America. Those travellers in their early 20’s prefer touring holidays to Spain with Ibiza topping their list of favourites. 

This survey has shown that holidays in the UK remain popular with many choosing Newquay as their favourite holiday destination. Interestingly, those looking to take their first holiday without their parents opt for city breaks in London, Blackpool and Brighton.
