Prince William first visited the Isles of Scilly when he was eight years old and apparently they are a favoured destination for the newlyweds to spend their honeymoon. Since rumours about the couple’s plans emerged the official tourism site for the islands has been overflowing with visitors after putting them on the national and international radar. In addition to the UK, there is a lot of Internet activity coming from mainland Europe and the US.

The Islands of Scilly have seen bookings rise by 108 % and there are already 17 % more bookings for holidays to the islands than for the whole of last year. Other honeymoon destinations rumoured to be in the short list are Australia  and the Island of Rab, Croatia.
