The conservation charity WWF is now in its 50th year of working to protect endangered animals and climate change. The charity was set up in 1961 with the aim to raise money through programmes to save some of the world’s most endangered species. The first focus of the charity was saving the rhino which had been driven to extinction by poaching, they have also set up programmes to help pandas, elephants and most recently tigers whose numbers have fallen by 95% in the last century.
