The awards, organised by trade magazine Coach Monthly, recognises excellence across coach tour operators, tourist destinations and attractions, and industry suppliers.

In giving Edwards Coaches the award, the judges said Edwards Coaches demonstrated a commitment to quality, business success, a professional appearance, a good industry reputation, and demonstrates a commitment to training. Jason Edwards, Commercial Director of Edwards Coaches, collected the award in front of more than 360 tourism industry professionals along with Alan Clough, Contracts Manager, Huw Davies, Groups Manager and Chris Davidge, Marketing Executive of Edwards Coaches.

Edwards Coaches also had two of their Drivers, Glyn Bowden and Andrew Martin nominated for the Coach Driver of the Year award both narrowly missing out on the top spot.

Commenting on the company’s success, Jason Edwards says “I am proud to say that Edwards Coaches are officially the ‘UK Coach Operator of the Year’ showing the commitment to quality we posses throughout” He continued to say “This is a huge achievement for us as a local family run company and rewards every member of staff for the hard work they put in day in day out to provide our customers the highest levels of service”

The awards presentation was hosted by the Stuart Render, and television presenter and travel and tourism expert, Judith Chalmers. “These are the only national awards that focus specifically on the coach tourism community,” says Stuart Render Editor of Coach Monthly magazine. “Edwards Coaches was up against the best of the best coach operators in the country so this is therefore a well-deserved and a significant achievement. Our winners are at the forefront in delivering excellence across all sectors of the industry, helping to raise the quality of customer service and quality across coach operators, destinations, visitor attractions and tourism industry suppliers.”
