Boasting hills, mountains, moors, and generally the most heart-stopping scenery in England, it's little wonder that the spectacular Lake District holds a well-earned place on our top places to visit in the UK and is a popular destination for coach holidays.

This beautiful national park is home to a handful of superlatives, from England's highest mountain (Scafell Pike) to the largest lake (Lake Windermere) and deepest lake (Wastwater), not to mention more than 3,500 kilometres of rights of way, meaning you can explore this spectacular region by foot, bike or even boat to your heart's desire.
