The enquiry conducted across expat Britons showed that Canada’s good quality of life made it the most appealing. The most important reasons to migrate there were the banking and healthcare system, with the education standard and the natural landscape other causes.
The biggest surprise of the survey was Hong Kong - despite 47% of expats on salaries of more than £100,000, it failed to feature in the Top 10 expat destinations. Dave Isley of NatWest International Personal Banking commented, “It seems the pull of the beautiful Rockies, the Mounties and the taste of maple syrup is a real sticking point for British expats’.”
Canada won against strong rivals like New Zealand, Australia, UAE, Spain and Portugal.
