Business is booming for Theme Parks

13/03/2010
Recent research by Mintel has found that a quarter of Britons took day trips to places such as Alton Towers and Thorpe Park. Approx. 1.2 million people visited a theme park for the first time in 2009 with 23% making a return visit. The illustrious theme park market was valued at 315m in 2009 - up 27% since 2004!

The economic recession and the weak pound are the major factors in this increase of visitors to theme parks. More and more people have been persuaded to stay at home and take more day trips, short breaks and holidays instead of travelling further afield. A quarter of consumers surveyed said that the rides found in the UK were as good as those in Europe and the US. Although, queuing for rides is a major problem with half of all adults saying that this had put them off going to Theme Parks.

However, if you fancy something a little different then just visiting Theme Parks, why not check out our amazing range of coach day trips.
