The economic recession and the weak pound are the major factors in this increase of visitors to theme parks. More and more people have been persuaded to stay at home and take more day trips, short breaks and holidays instead of travelling further afield. A quarter of consumers surveyed said that the rides found in the UK were as good as those in Europe and the US. Although, queuing for rides is a major problem with half of all adults saying that this had put them off going to Theme Parks.
