Liverpool which is home to The Beatles, The Zutons and Cilla Back was recently voted Britain's most musical city. Ten cities competed for over 6 weeks for the coveted title that was voted for by the public.
Approximately 10,000 people across the country voted for the Arts Council poll which saw Liverpool , this year's European City Of Culture, scoop the number one spot ahead of Sheffield - the birthplace of The Arctic Monkeys and Pulp. Manchester with rock gods Oasis, The Stone Roses and reunited boy-band Take That came third whilst Leicester which is home to Kasabian & Engelbert Humperdinck came fourth. London came in at a disappointing eighth despite housing well known artists suchs as The Jam, The Rolling Stones and Amy Winehouse.
