The fifth series of Britain's Got Talent kicked off with a bang this weekend, showcasing dancing dogs, husband and wife hand bell-ringing, hula hooping en-masse and two new faces on the judging panel.
Ex-Baywatch American import David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff and Brit comedian Michael McIntyre replace Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell this year, with Amanda Holden remaining from the original line-up.
Show highlights saw straight-laced telecommunications engineer Stephen Hall break out into an unsuspecting funky dance medley, 9 year-old stand-up David Knight giving Michael McIntyre a run for his money, and a sulky auditionee who stormed off the stage before all three buzzers had gone off.
The 'SuBo' moment of the show came when surprise guitar talent Michael Collings, 19, who came onto the stage wearing an orange hoodie which the judges joked made him look "like he [was] going on a long haul flight", got a standing ovation for his version of Tracy Chapman's
Fast Car.
