This survey shows that 26% of British adults plan at least one overnight trip away from home this Easter – an increase of 4% compared to the same time last year. ABTA recently reported that almost 2 million Brits were planning on holidaying overseas during Easter but VisitEngland’s survey has shown that only 6% are planning holidays abroad.
At least 21% of those interviewed plan to take a break in the UK with 19% of those holidaying in England – an increase of 3% compared to 2009. Out of those who plan an overnight stay, 46% intend to visit friends & family whilst 40% intend to go for a holiday to get away from it all this Easter.
