Almost everyone has a favourite time of year to travel and according to research by Travel Guard, many senior citizens prefer to take their coach holidays during the Autumn. This could be as there are less children around due to the schools reopening after the Summer Holidays.

It’s official, according to figures from the Passenger Shipping Association (PSA), us Brits just love cruise holidays for our annual yearly break. Figures from the PSA show that there’ll be 7% more Brits taking cruise holidays in 2010 compared to last year.

‘Staycations’ seem to still be the trend at the moment and those travellers who opt for UK holiday breaks have great value accommodation & cheaper train travel voted high on their travel wish lists. So what else is high on the travel wish list?

So what’s you’re favourite place in the world for a city break? According to a survey by online shopping comparison website Kelkoo, Lisbon is the hot favourite among holidaymakers. The survey was based on the criteria of great value for money, climate & other travel priorities with Lisbon coming out on top but Cape Town, Rio de Janeiro & Sydney came bottom in the ranks.
