Not only does Hardanger Fjord (pronounced Har-dang-er- Fee-ord) count Northern Europe's largest mountain plateau, two of Norway's largest glaciers and Norway's most famous waterfall among its exploits, but it also enjoys a mild climate, clear summer nights and rich farmlands. Flaunting deep fjords, waterfalls that cascade down steep mountainsides and general stunning scenery, there could be nothing not to like on an escorted coach tour here.
A regional must-see is the Voringfossen Waterfall, with a spectacular free fall of 182 meters and rating as Norway's third popular tourist destination. Take the Troll Train along the old road closed to ordinary traffic to experience the waterfall and dramatic nature of the Mabodalen Valley.
