Frankfurt's position in central Europe means that most have only glimpsed at it on the way to somewhere else, although Frankfurt shouldn't be overlooked for being an international junction. Pulling crowds of around 12 million visitors each year and owning some of Europe's highest skyscrapers and a selection of excellent museums and art galleries on a city scale, there's definitely more to Frankfurt than finance and its namesake rubbery sausage.
Use your Germany tour to become familiar with Germany's finest poet Goethe, who was born in Frankfurt, at the Goethehaus and Goethe Museum.
