What is Door2Tour.com?

We are a marketing organisation and we promote tours, trips, sightseeing and more for the tour operator. We then enable you to find information from that operator, however, when you book you book directly with them, therefore we never handle your money. For more information please see our About Us page.

Does Door2Tour.com operate the coach holidays?

No. We bring together coach holidays from regional UK coach tour operators, who operate all the tours available on Door2Tour.com. A list of the featured tour operators can be found on the Browse by Operator page. All the operators are fully bonded and have many years experience of offering quality tours.

How do I find my nearest pickup point?

As the coach holidays and coach day trips depart regionally and the spread of pickup points varies, it's important that we know where you are (from your postcode) to help you find your local pickup points. The best way of finding tours that depart near to you is by searching using the Tour Finder on the Home Page, or the Find Your Trip panel on all other pages.

Simply choose an option from each criteria, enter where you'll be travelling from (or a major departure point if you're using the Tour Finder), and search. You'll then see that each tour displays a 'miles to nearest pickup' reading, in the blue box next to each tour. You can still search by using the Search Door2Tour option: it just won't return tours with pickup points in your area first.

Please note we do not use your postcode for any other reason.

How do I book a coach holiday?

Online booking couldn't be easier! For step-by-step instructions on booking your coach holiday please refer to our How to Book page.

Are all of the holidays shown available?

Yes. Door2Tour.com offers true on-line booking, meaning that providing the tour availability matches the dates you wish to travel, there will be spaces. Bookings are made all the time and so your booking is not confirmed until you complete the on-line process with the tour operator. Door2Tour.com cannot guarantee availability for tours that have been saved to the View My Tours page that haven't been booked soon after checking availability.

Do you sell any last minute coach holidays?

Yes, you can see these on the Special Offers page. You can also find last minute holidays by selecting the dates you are looking for on the Tour Finder on the home page. Please note however that the special offers page is not exclusively last minute deals. Do you only sell coach holidays?

At present Door2Tour.com specialises in quality coach holidays although these incorporate air tours (a flight to your destination then a coach tour at the other end) and cruising. Ultimately, we aim to offer all types of touring holiday!

Do you price match?

No. As Door2Tour.com is not a travel agent, tour prices are allocated solely by the tour operator running the tour and therefore we do not price match. For special offers and last minute deals, subscribe to our Newsletter or see our Special Offers page!

Why am I being asked for my postcode?

Since Door2Tour.com features hundreds of tours from the UK's leading coach operators, it's important for you to be able to view tours in relation to where you are. By entering a postcode, we can sort tours for you so that the ones with the closest pickups to you are displayed first. This doesn't have to be your home address - if you'd like to depart from a different address, simply type in that postcode. Don't worry if you don't know the whole postcode; just type in the first part and you'll still see the tours with the closest pickup points!

How can I save a tour and come back to it later?

We've anticipated that you might want to have a think about a tour before you book, which is why you can save any tours you like on the View My Tours page. By clicking the 'add to my tours' link on a tour you can come back to them at a later date even after logging off. You can also email them to a friend!

What resolution should I set my screen to to view Door2Tour.com?

The average screen resolution is usually around 1024 by 768 pixels which is a sufficient setting to view the site with. A higher resolution can be achieved by right-clicking on your desk top via the settings tab.

How do I 'unsubscribe' to the newsletter?

Our newsletter aims to provide interesting information and allow subscribers to be the first to know about the latest in Door2Tour.com features and special offers. If you feel that the contents of the newsletter are not relevant to items that interest you, why not tell us more about what you'd like to read? What do I do if I have a complaint about Door2Tour.com?

We are very sorry if there is anything you dislike about your Door2Tour.com experience and we take all complaints seriously. However, in the event of a complaint for issues regarding the site only, please Contact Us. Since Door2Tour.com is not a travel agency and purely markets the tours, if you would like to make a complaint about a tour or are unhappy with quality of service, please get in touch with the coach operator directly.

How do I know which operator is running a tour?

It's easy to find out which coach operator is running a particular tour. When you have seen a tour you are interested in, simply click the Contact button at the top of the tour page, which will take you to a page where you can submit an enquiry, request a callback or request to see the operator's address and telephone number. Once you have submitted, you'll then need to fill out a brief registration form, after which you will be able to view the operator's full details and telephone number. After you have registered, you will not have to fill out the form again on returning to Door2Tour.com.

Is accommodation included in the tour price?

All the coach holidays featured on site are package holidays so prices include accommodation unless otherwise specified, with the obvious exception of day trips. You can of course request different types of room, and should you wish to double check this, please check with the operator by using the 'Make An Enquiry' option from a particular tour.

Are there discounts for seniors?

Coach operators would say that all their coach holidays are great value as it is, although some tours may have a discount rate for seniors. Any senior rates available are listed in the Availability Bar (at the top of the page) under 'Prices'.

What is the accommodation?

You'll find accommodation details listed on the 'Tour Itinerary' tab of each tour, but it is possible to check this with the operator running the tour by clicking on the 'Make An Enquiry' link from any tour page.

Are children allowed?

If this information is not listed under in the 'Tour Overview' or 'Tour Itinerary' section, you may check with the operator running the tour by clicking on the 'Make An Enquiry' link from any tour page.

Do tours cater for vegetarian meals or special diets?

Should you have any special requirements, these may be queried with the operator running a tour through the 'Make An Enquiry' link, or a request can be made during the booking process, although these cannot be guaranteed by us. In most cases, this is not a problem.

How can I contact the tour operator running the tour directly?

Tour operators can be contacted about tour related queries either prior to or after booking via email, or you may request for them to call you back at a convenient time. Details of operators can be obtained from our Coach Operators directory. You may also contact the operator running a tour by clicking the Contact button at the top of the page from your chosen tour.

What if I want to make a change or have to cancel my tour?

As your agreement is with the tour operator you must deal with them directly. All featured tour operators have published terms and conditions, you can find their contact details on the Coach Operators page.

How will I know when I’ve booked?

On completion of the booking the Tour Operator will automatically email you a booking confirmation. If you have any queries about your booking please contact the tour operator.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All tour operators on the site take payment through secure payment servers. This protects your personal details and your payment and conforms with all legal requirements.

Are you bonded, is my money safe?

All tour operators featured on this site comply with the Package Holiday Regulations so your monies are safe. As we are not an agent and do not handle your money we are not bonded.

How does coach travel affect the environment?

Research shows that coach travel is the greenest way to travel on your holiday, with modern touring coaches emitting lower levels of ozone damaging carbon dioxide per passenger kilometre travelled than any other form of transport - including trains, private cars or planes. The Coach Tourism Council say that going on holiday by coach is a massive 20 times less polluting than travelling by car and forty times less polluting than air travel (*Based on fuel consumption of 10mpg for a coach carrying 40 passengers; car fuel consumption of 40mpg carrying two passengers and a Boeing 737-800 fully laden on a short-haul flight) – all the more reason to travel by coach.

What are the benefits of travelling by coach?

Travelling by coach means no more long check-in queues or hanging around for luggage at the other end. You can head into the heart of busy cities and forget about negotiating the traffic, go to a concert and leave the drive home to somebody else or tour vineyards and not have to worry about the sampling issue! You also get to travel with others and often benefit from having your own guide.
