Dancing On Ice Tour Coach Trips
Due to venue availability, the next Dancing On Ice Live Tour will take place in Spring 2014. Coach packages are on sale now!
Congratulations to Olympic gymnast, Beth Tweddle
and her skating partner Dan Whiston, who won the hearts of the UK viewing audience and became Champion of this series of Dancing On Ice. Matt Lapinskas
came second with Luke Campbell
in third place. During the tense skating final, Matt Lapinskas and his skating partner Brianne Delcourt scored perfect 10s from the judges for their routines but the final decision fell to the viewers and they chose Beth Tweddle as their winner.
Both Beth Tweddle and Matt Lapinskas skated their version of Torvill and Dean's famous Bolero
routine. Beth's was full of gymnastic grace with a variety of lifts, tricks and stretches. Matt's version of the Bolero
was more about the passion and chemistry whilst also being a little on the dangerous side at times.
A couple of the Ice Panel of Judges
had already decided on who their winner was with both Karen Barber
and Jason Gardiner
choosing Matt. This is partly the reason why Beth and her skating partner Dan, looked a little shell-shocked when the shows presenter, Philip Schofield, announced that they were in fact the winners - they were convinced that they had finished second!
The Dancing On Ice Live Tour will be the final one of the series to mark the 30th Anniversary
of when Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean won Gold at the Winter Olympics 1984 in Sarajevo for their infamous Bolero
routine. Keep your eyes peeled for the new TV series as rumours are rife that there will be some big changes to the format including a possible change to the line-up of professional skaters and to the judging panel!
