As the world's eyes descend on London for the Olympics, here at Door2Tour we decided to have a look at another new attraction, visited by our guest blogger Katie Shea, which has recently opened its doors to the public. We are sure that both children and adults alike will enjoy stepping into the world of the Harry Potter films for the Warner Bros Studio Tour, beware though, this blog does contain spoilers! (And it just so happens that today is J.K Rowling and Harry Potter's birthdays – it isn’t a coincidence I assure you!)

An adaption of the extremely successful stage musical, Les Misérables, is hitting the big screen on 11th January 2013. They've really pulled out the stops with an all-star cast including Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Helena Bonham Carter, Sascha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne. Door2Tour think that these sound like the ingredients to an outstanding film based on Victor Hugo's classic novel set in 19th-century France, in which paroled prisoner, Jean Valjean, seeks redemption. To accompany the incredible cast, they had to film in incredible locations. So where better than the UK? Filming for the movie has taken place in several parts of the UK including London, Winchester and Portsmouth. So we thought we’d provide you with some things to see and do in these topical places…

2012 is certainly an exciting year for the UK in more ways than one and with this in mind we thought we’d take a look at some of the hottest events that you can be a part of on escorted tours. Obviously, we can’t forget that it’s the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the 100th Anniversary of the RMS Titanic, the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens birthday and The Olympics as well but there are many other events that we think you simply cannot afford to miss this year. With the rumour mill going into overdrive at the news that the forthcoming James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’ is likely to have certain parts of it filmed in Bognor Regis as well as the warmer climes of Turkey, we thought we’d take a look at some locations across the world that have been used in a selection of popular movies. The recent series of ‘Celebrity Coach Trip’ was a huge success with plenty of ups and downs, tears and tantrums culminating in five dramatic eliminations. The overall winner was Katie Price’s pals, Gary & Phil with former Big Brother stars Brian & Spencer coming a close second. With this in mind, it got us to thinking who we would like to share coach holidays with if we had the chance to create our own Dream Team of people alive or dead. You wouldn’t believe how difficult it has been to think of just six people for our Dream Team but with a lot of researching and careful thought, this is what we’ve come up with….
