Holiday Checklist Well we are now into the middle of May and many of you may already be thinking about your Summer Holidays. Door2Tour thought we’d lend a little helping hand with a mini checklist of things to think about and to organise before you head off on your travels. We’ve decided to give you a breakdown of what to do in certain timeframes, for example, 8 weeks to go, 4 weeks to go and 2 weeks to go. We will spread these out over the coming weeks so you can check back whenever you have a moment. Hopefully, we have managed to think of the most important things but if there’s anything we’ve left off the list that you think will help fellow travellers such as yourself, send your ideas through to us and we’ll add them to our list…

Wish you were here in The Deep South

Not sure if many of you saw it, but Trevor MacDonald’s documentary on ‘The Mighty Mississippi’ was certainly an eye-opening educational voyage for me. You’re taken on a fascinating journey through the Deep South, experiencing a Jazz Funeral, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, discovering the world of Elvis Presley and other Rock & Roll greats in Memphis, the power of gospel music and the emotionally draining subject of slavery and segregation that occupies a huge chunk of American history. As the series came to a conclusion last night, we thought it only right to feature escorted tours to The Deep South in our ‘Wishlist Wednesday’ and hopefully with this mini guide, you’ll soon be wishing you were there instead of sat at your desk…

Bucket List Cruise Holidays

It’s hard to believe that this weekend will mark 100 years since the RMS Titanic set out on its maiden voyage to New York but never arrived as the ship hit an iceberg and sank. With this in mind, and because cruise holidays appear to be hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons, we thought we'd take a look at some of the cruises out there that should most definitely appear somewhere on your bucket list. As we mark the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic, we've noticed that Cruise holidays are certainly getting a bit of bad press instead of focusing on the positives such as great value for money, wonderful cuisines, vibrant entertainment and the endless array of ports to visit. So check out our Bucket List for some ideas...
